These No Added Sugar, No Sulfur (sulphur) Mini Apple Dices are a delicious, healthy treat for most pets, including cats, dogs, birds and small, exotic or pocket pets. And they have a great shelf life: 6 - 8 months un-refrigerated in an airtight container, 1-2 Years in the fridge, and indefinitely in the freezer - saving you time (no peeling or coring), waste AND money (no rotten fruit). Handpicked, tree-ripened apples are washed, peeled, cored, diced & inspected prior to being dehydrated and re-inspected.
This healthy snack is full of antioxidants, vitamins A and C, plus natural prebiotics from apple pectin. The finely diced size makes them perfect for sprinkling over other foods or giving a few pieces to your pet daily. Apple pectin is an excellent source of soluble fiber to aid in digestion, which can be an issue for some pets. Pectin helps keep bad bacteria in check so good bacteria can assist with proper nutrient absorption.

Mini dices are perfectly portioned for smaller pets, and dehydrated apple makes a great topper to sprinkle on dog or cat meals a few times a week. Makes a healthy, low calorie, low fat treat for many birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, rats, mice, chinchillas, flying squirrels, prairie dogs and more. And you can use them in your own recipes, salads, oatmeal, baked goods and more - we toss them on our peanut butter sandwiches instead of sugary jelly!

These treats are packed in a USDA / FDA approved food packaging bag with a security strip at the very top and a re-closable zip-lock style seal, similar to the packaging you see in the grocery store for snacks. Just tear off the security strip at the top of the bag, and when you've grabbed some treats, use the zip-lock seal to close and preserve freshness.

Yuk

Birds and squirrels, possums and raccoons would, apparently, rather starve than eat this stuff. I tries adding some to a cookie recipe and the diced apple bits were hard as rocks. Maybe I could use it as an ant and termite barrier around the foundation of my house.

While we rarely here of customers disliking the apple, we're sorry you had a poor experience, Ponder. Although the apple is dehydrated, it should not be dry. But if using in an oven-baked recipe, we recommend rehydrating the apple by soaking in enough water to cover for about 30 minutes; then drain water before using in your recipe.
